Manitou Springs Colorado is located at the western edge of El Paso County at the base of highway 24 heading to Ute Pass and Woodland Park. This is an older community that is reminiscent of the tourism trade from years ago. Manitou Springs is a mere 4 miles from downtown and is adjacent to a similar area Old Colorado City. Manitou Springs is popular with hikers and is the home of the famous Manitou Springs Incline, a famous hiking trail ascending the old cog railway line.

MSSD 14 is a small school district with approximately 600 students comprised of Ute Pass and Manitou Elementary Schools, Manitou Springs Middle School and Manitou Springs High School. Even though they are a small school district, the Manitou Springs schools offer programs such as ballet, strings/orchestra, and robotics in addition to their normal curriculum.

With beautiful red rocks and nestled at the base of the mountains, this area is hard to beat.
