The Northeast area of Colorado Springs is north of downtown and south of Briargate. The area covers approximately 20 square miles and is at an average elevation of 6500 feet in elevation. The weather in the Northeast area of Colorado Springs is average compared to other parts of the Colorado Springs. Average highs in the winter are in the upper 30's with average lows dropping down to 15-20 degrees. Summertime temperatures average 80-83 degrees with the lows in the 50s. This area is composed of older homes typically without air conditioning. Newer homes in this area will probably be equipped with air conditioning.
