Mountain Shadows is a popular neighborhood situated on the northwest side of Colorado Springs. It is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, between Centennial Blvd and Flying W Ranch Road. The Waldo Canyon Fire had a significant impact on the community of Mountain Shadows. Many residents lost their homes and had to relocate. The neighborhood also experienced a high level of crime due to the destruction of property.

After the Waldo Canyon Fire, the community of Mountain Shadows came together to rebuild. Many residents donated their time and money to help with the reconstruction efforts. The neighborhood also received support from the city of Colorado Springs and the state of Colorado.

Today, the Mountain Shadows neighborhood is once again a thriving community. The homes that were destroyed have been rebuilt, and the area is slowly returning to its pre-fire state. The community has come together to create a stronger, more resilient Mountain Shadows.
