Kissing Camels is an exclusive, private gated community located on the west side of Colorado Springs, Colorado. This neighborhood sits on a mesa high above the city of Colorado Springs to its east. Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods are to the neighborhood's west, and this combination provides some of the best views in the city.
The neighborhood is named after the iconic rock formation of what appears to be two Camels Kissing atop of the Garden of the Gods. Kissing Camels was built around an immaculate 27-hole golf course designed in 1961 by renowned golf course architects J. Press Maxwell and Mark Rathert. This course features pristine fairways, bunkered greens, towering pine trees, and one-of-a-kind views.

The Recreation Center offers swimming, basketball, a playground, and organized activities for both young and old alike.

GARDEN OF THE GODS PARK

One of the city's most famous landmarks is located minutes away from the Kissing Camels neighborhood. This 1,367-acre park has 21 miles of trails, ranging from beginner to advanced level, and trails are both paved and dirt. Although all trails are walkable, there are certain restrictions for those riding horses or bikes. For more information, check with the visitor center for a map before hitting the trails.

GARDEN OF THE GODS DOG PARK

Dogs are allowed in Garden of the Gods Park but they must be on a leash. For those that prefer their dogs to run off leash to get their exercise, there is a dog park or off-leash area located south of Gateway Road (main entrance to Garden of the Gods Park), west of 30th Street, and east of Rock Ledge Ranch Historic site.

ROCK LEDGE RANCH

Rock Ledge Ranch calls itself a living history museum, and they are on a mission to preserve and maintain the traditions of the Ranch and the Pikes Peak region. They do this by providing a variety of educational and experiential programs that provide valuable insights into the culture and history of the area, and can be enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

UTE VALLEY PARK PARK

Located just minutes away from the Kissing Camels neighborhood is Ute Valley Park. Ute Valley is a great place to get away for a quick midday hike or mountain bike ride. If you climb to the top, there are some amazing views of the west side as well as downtown Colorado Springs. The park has diverse wildlife as well as some amazing archaeological features.
