The Pikes Peak Region is home to various family-friendly festivals and events throughout the year, including the Colorado Springs Balloon Classic, the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center’s Summer Family Festival, and the Garden of the Gods 10K. John Venezia Park is located in the heart of Briargate at the intersection of Briargate Parkway and Union Boulevard in northeast Colorado Springs. There is something for everyone: a playground, basketball court, spray park, soccer fields, in-line hockey/basketball court, and four pickleball courts.

Kids can run around and play on the playground, while adults can challenge each other on the court. The spray park is great for cooling off during hot summer days, and plenty of pavilions and shelters are available for personal use.

2. Pikes Peak BMX Park

The Pikes Peak BMX Park is located in Rampart Park in Northeast Colorado Springs. This is one of Colorado’s premier BMX tracks on the front range. Races are held every Saturday, but don’t forget to take advantage of Tuesday and Thursday evenings for Gate practice sessions! This track features concrete bowl turns, paved jump faces, and a technical rhythm section.

5. Bear Creek Park

Bear Creek Regional Park is the perfect playground for kids! Located in Southwest Colorado Springs, this park is 545 acres of fun and adventure. Enjoy an afternoon of playing on the fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, and basketball and volleyball courts.
