The Falcon Hills subdivision consists of three large areas intersected by other smaller nearby neighborhoods. Falcon Hills is located east of Meridian Road, west of East Blaney Road, south of the Falcon Highway, and north of S. Blaney Road
Falcon Hills is a great place if you’re looking to get out of the city but aren’t ready to take on more than 5 acres of land. Lots of Falcon Hills average 5 acres in size and have no Covenants.
Most of the homes in Falcon Hills are zoned RR-3 or RR-5. These are “residential rural” zoning codes for 5-acre properties.
These large lots are intended for low-density single family houses and offer property owners plenty of space. Laws or rules about livestock and other restrictions come from El Paso County, not a homeowners association.
The Falcon Hills neighborhood does allow horses and other livestock. You should check with the El Paso County Land Development code before purchasing a home in this neighborhood to make sure you will be in compliance with the codes.
The lack of covenants and restrictions as well as the ability to keep livestock are why most residents live in Falcon Hills. Property owners also enjoy lots of open space, privacy, solitude, and views.

The Falcon Hills neighborhood is very popular with service members because it offers easy access to bases like Peterson Air Force Base, and Schriever Air Force Base. Even soldiers at the Fort Carson army base are willing to make the 30-minute Drive in order to live in this neighborhood.

The Falcon Hills neighborhood is located in the Falcon District 49 school district attendance area. Students from this neighborhood attend Falcon High School, Falcon middle school, and Falcon Elementary School.
District 49 is one of the largest school districts in the area. They offer a wide range of programs and classes.
While there are no public or private schools located directly in the falcon Hills neighborhood, there are several close by.
The Rocky Mountain Classical Academy is approximately 11 miles from the subdivision. While this is not a short drive, it is a popular choice with residents.
The Liberty Tree Academy is located 7 miles north in Falcon, Colorado. This is a newer charter school and is rapidly becoming an area favorite.
The Mountain View Academy is another newer charter school is located just 8 miles away from the Falcon Hills subdivision.
The rural nature of Falcon Hills and sparse population density makes finding neighborhood parks and open space difficult. There are lots of places within a short drive if you are looking for recreational facilities, tennis courts, or a walkable neighborhood.
There is a great open space with tons of educational opportunities at the Corral Bluffs Open Space
This space has been designated a Colorado Natural Area by Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and bills itself as the center of the paleontological universe!
The Corral Bluffs and Jimmy Camp Creek Park strive to document and preserve the history of the extinction of dinosaurs and the evolution of other mammals, and their ecosystem.
The park offers “guided hikes” which you can sign up for on their web site.
There are plenty of other activities in the area like motocross at Aztec Motocross, a great place to hone your motocross skills or just race for fun.
Another local amenity for gun enthusiasts is The Frontier Sportsmen’s Club, and Dragonmans. Dragon man (Mel) is an eastern plains staple. He operates a firearms store, shooting ranges, dirt bike track, paintball park, military museum, and motorcycle machine shop. While not everybody’s cup of tea, you can’t talk about falcon without bringing up dragon man, he’s a classic.
While the Falcon Hills neighborhood feels very isolated, residents of falcon hills are actually very close to a wide range of amenities. shopping, restaurants, and retail can all be found close by in Falcon Colorado. While Falcon is not a metropolitan area, it does have a high enough density of population to attract a good deal of commercial.
Additionally there is shopping, retail, grocery, and coffee shops close by along the Powers corridor as well as new retail and grocery Outlets opening in the Constitution marksheffel area.
The Antler Creek Golf Course is just a few minutes from the falcon hills area. This is a Rick Phelps-designed, prairie dunes-style course that measures over 8,000 yards from the tips. The course offers a pro shop, driving range, and restaurant. For more information, visit their web site.
There are no recorded Covenants in the Falcon Hills neighborhood. As we stated earlier in this article any restrictions or limitations can be found in the El Paso County Land Development Code.
There are limitations as to how many how much livestock you can keep. There are also limitations on what can and cannot be stored on the property.
