Cumberland Green is located in Fountain Colorado. Situated just northeast of Downtown Fountain, this neighborhood offers a nice mix of suburban convenience and laid back rural feel. Cumberland Green is a 15-minute drive to Fort Carson and 15 minutes to Peterson Air Force Base. These short commute times make the Cumberland Green neighborhood very popular community for military families.
Building and development started in this area late in 2005 and continued on through late 2018. There are approximately 500 homes in the neighborhood and while there isn’t an abundance of park space in the actual neighborhood, the neighborhood backs to the Jimmy Camp Creek Open Space. This open space offers miles of trails as well as the Jimmy Camp Disc Golf Course.
Cumberland Green is in the Fountain-Fort Carson #8 School District attendance area. The neighborhood is also home to Eagleside Elementary School. The school does have an athletic field and Basketball courts.
Homes for sale in Cumberland Green are typically 1,500 to 4,000 square feet and range from $275,000 to $450,000. Countryside, The Glen at Widefield, Mesa Ridge, and Lorson Ranch are all areas nearby with new home construction, while Barnstormers Landing, Fountain, Fountain Valley Ranch, Wild Oak Farms are all popular developments with established homes and communities. Apartments, condos, and townhomes are on the rise in this area.
Although Cumberland Greens is a tract home community, there were restrictions put in place at the time of development to make sure the area did not develop a “cookie cutter” feel. For example, No model elevation could be repeated more than once every five lots on the same side of the street. Additionally, No home model elevation could be repeated directly across the street from the same model elevation.
The draw for the Cumberland Green neighborhood is the convenience of its location and the proximity to rural land and open space. The area also provided new construction at a affordable price. All of this contributes to the popularity of the Cumberland Green neighborhood.
