Palmer High School or more formally General William J. Palmer High School is located in the heart of Downtown Colorado Springs. The current building was built in the 1940s as a part of President Franklin Delano Roosevelts Works Progress Administration. Palmer was originally named “Colorado Springs High School”, the school was re-named in 1959 after Colorado Springs founder, General William Jackson Palmer.
