The holiday season is officially upon us in Colorado Springs! While the winter months can be especially cold in the Pikes Peak region, you can still enjoy the festivities from the comfort of your car.

Take a drive around town to check out some of the best Christmas lights displays for 2022. But don’t forget to bundle up and stay socially distanced!

Here are some of our favorite holiday light events and addresses for this year.

Holiday Lights in Colorado Springs

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Electric Safari

The Electric Safari at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is an annual holiday event that features over 85 light sculptures while also enjoying the company of the zoo’s friendly animals.

Royal Gorge Bridge of Lights

This holiday season, visitors to the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park will have the unique opportunity to celebrate the season with the Bridge of Lights event. The bridge will be illuminated with thousands of lights, offering breathtaking views of the gorge from across the bridge and throughout the park. The once-in-a-lifetime experience should not be missed, so don’t miss out on this special time!

Trail of Lights at Chatfield Farms

Just under a mile of walking trail, holiday lights line the pathway through the Green Farm, Crossroads, Deer Creek Discovery Children’s Play Area and 1880s Hildebrand Ranch homestead.

Blossoms of Light at The Denver Botanic Gardens

The Denver Botanic Gardens is celebrating its 33rd year of their signature event: the Holiday Lights Extravaganza. Thousands of families from the Front Range region have made it a tradition to come to the York Street location and enjoy the twinkling lights. In an effort to be sustainable, all lights used in the event are LED. This family-friendly event is sure to be one that will bring joy and cheer for many years to come.

Hudson Christmas @ Hudson Gardens

Hudson Christmas is set to return for the holiday season with a breathtaking light display in its woodland setting. Guests of all ages can experience the majestic trees adorned with festive lights and join in a festive sing-along to their favorite holiday tunes while surrounded by a forest of glowing, dancing Christmas Trees.

  • December 2nd, 3rd & 4th
  • December 9th, 10th & 11th
  • December 15th – 24th
  • December 26th – 31st
  • Doors open at 5:00 PM. The last entry is at 9:00 PM.
  • Tickets can be redeemed anytime between 5:00 – 9:00 PM.

Christmas in Color Bandimere (drive-thru)

Christmas revelers looking to experience something new this holiday season can drive through acres of more than 1.5 million lights that are synchronized with holiday music, audible through car radios. Giant candy canes, snowmen, and arched pathways offer a unique immersion into the festive season. Adults and children alike will no doubt enjoy pressing their faces against the windows for a closer look at the magical display.

Some basic rules for residential drive-bys include:

  • Some residences collect donations for various charities. Donating this time of year is very helpful and satisfying.
  • If there is a crowd, please watch for one cycle only.
  • Be courteous, and don’t block the driveways of neighbors who need to come & go from their homes.
  • Drive slowly and park on the opposite side of the street & turn your lights off, but leave on your parking lights.
