From the annual parade to traditional Irish music, the city is bursting with ways to celebrate the holiday named after the patron saint of Ireland. The 2023 Colorado Springs St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on a Saturday, March 11th, in Downtown Colorado Springs. The parade route starts at Tejon Street and E. St. Vrain and continues south on Tejon Street to Vermijo.
You can view the parade from anywhere along the Route if you stay behind the chalk lines along the route. Tickets for the Grand Stands are available online and in person.
The best option for parking is to use one of the city parking garages close to the parade route. The parade lasts about 1-1/2 hours and is a fun, green-themed event. Food and drink are available at local restaurants, pubs, and food booths, but alcohol is prohibited outside along the parade route. Be prepared for changing Colorado weather by dressing in layers.

The 39th annual 5k for St. Patrick’s Day is the flattest 5K in Colorado Springs and takes place on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 10 am in Downtown Colorado Springs.
Make sure to dress for the day; think of Kilts, Green, Shamrocks, and any Leprechaun wear you can get your hands on. Stay after the race for the Leprechaun Fun Run and the 39th Annual Colorado Springs St. Patrick’s Day Parade, beginning at noon.

Colorado Springs St. Patrick’s Day celebrations’ cutest part is the Leprechaun Fun Run! The event will be held on March 11, 2023, at 11 am, and you can sign up your little leprechauns to race down Tejon Street. There is a half-mile course for the younger ones and a mile course for the older kids.
Each runner gets a shirt and a bib number with registration. This race begins at the corner of Tejon and Bijou by 10:45 am, as the race starts promptly at 11 am.

If running isn’t your thing, maybe you like to bike? Get ready for the Pedalin’ St. Pat’s Bike Ride! Rides will take place on Saturday, March 11, starting at 9:30 am in Trails End Taproom’s new parking lot. Riders can choose between two courses: the Intermediate, which is about 21 miles in distance, and a loop course, and the Challenging, which is just under 31 miles in total distance, and also a loop course. Prices start at $45.

Join Catholic Charities for their 22nd annual St. Patrick’s Day event on March 17 at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort, starting at 6 p.m. The less formal Shamrock Shindig will include live & paddle auctions, socializing, and self-served Irish food. The event will be held in the Centennial Ballroom and reservations are recommended due to anticipated high demand.

Head up to Monument and celebrate a family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day gathering without alcohol at the Woodmoor Barn Community Center. The event will feature live music from Ashtōnz and Friends, delicious old-school meals from the Comfortably Done food truck, and nosh-fodder such as chips, salsa, and a charcuterie board. Light refreshments such as soda, water, and coffee will also be provided. Admission is only $12 for all ages, and children age 3 and under get in for free.
The parade will start on Henrietta Ave at Memorial Park, turn right at Fairview St., left on Midland Avenue. and right onto Baldwin, finishing at the intersection of Baldwin and Pikes Peak Ave. in front of Gateway Elementary. In conjunction with the parade, several local businesses will offer specials on food and drink by purchasing a Pub Crawl stamp card on the same day.
