Prospect Lake is a community within the downtown Colorado Springs area. The lake itself is located inside Memorial Park and is a popular place to recreate any time of year. Around Prospect Lake is a 2.2 mile lightly trafficked loop trail which is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and trail running and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail. No swimming or wading is allowed, except in the designated beach area. No ice-related activities are permitted on the lake and watercraft use is by permit only.

Prospect Lake Beach is a facility that is run by the Pikes Peak YMCA. The sandy beach is a great place to bring your friends and family and plan to spend a day at the beach. Individuals, families and groups will enjoy the historic beach house, open water swim area and beautiful gathering place for family picnics. Amenities include picnic tables, volleyball, concessions and locker rooms. The Eni Jaspersen Beach House at Prospect Lake is undergoing a $1 million renovation during the summer of 2019.
